    Special Guests
    Speaker: Rev. Lisa R. Harris-Lee
Rev. Lisa R. Harris-Lee currently serves as the American Baptist Home Mission Societies Director of Healing and Transforming Communities. In this role, she convenes leaders of community ministries; supports colleagues in disaster response and volunteer mobilization; and, works with colleagues to advance public witness and advocacy all with the purpose of making visible the love of God and nurturing Christ-centered interdependence in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Rev. Harris-Lee has been serving with ABHMS since 2008 and within American Baptist congregations and community ministries since her teen years. She has significant domestic and international mission experience that includes South Africa, Burma, Thailand, Mexico and Guyana. She has provided executive director leadership with community ministry in Kansas; pastoral leadership with congregations in Kansas, North Carolina and New Jersey; and served on the executive staff of American Baptist Churches of New Jersey and Philadelphia Baptist Association.
Through all of her life, Lisa expresses gratitude for the seeds of faith - planted and nurtured by her parents and church community - of which God continues to give the increase. Through all of ministry, she works to promote Christ-centered interdependence that fosters abundant living for all. She brings to ministry the same passion that helped her answer the call to ordained ministry in 1994; “a passion to bring people as close to God and as close to one another as possible,” based on the great commandment to love God, neighbor and self.
One of her sermons is published in Dr. Ella P. Mitchell’s, Those Preaching Women: Volume 4.

Special Music by Marta M. López Torres
Marta M. López Torres is a young woman passionate about Christ. She was born in California but grew up in Puerto Rico. From a young age, she showed great interest in music and being a servant of the Lord. She accepted the Lord at 13 years of age and went into the baptismal waters. After that, she joined her school choir at Wesleyan Academy. She created and directed a worship band in her school known as The Spark. They performed in different school activities such as retreats, worship nights, and chapel services. Also, they visited some churches in the area. While in High School, Marta served in the National Leadership Team of AB GIRLS as the Convenor in her first year and during her second year as Events Coordinator. She also serves in the worship ministry at her home church Primera Iglesia Bautista de Caguas. Marta graduated High School last year (2021) and went to Indiana Wesleyan University, where she is studying psychology and honors humanities. These days she is serving with the University Chorale, the Latino worship team, and the youth ministry at Lakeview Wesleyan Church. Marta is grateful that she can continue to serve the Lord in different places. The Lord has called her, and she moves according to His plans for her.
