  • BELOVED COMMUNITY:

    Ministry Matters

Building relationships and including women from different backgrounds in your ministry and decision-making will lead to vital ministry in your congregation and in the community. You will reap the benefits of a variety of perspectives when seeking God's direction in your planning.

What marks a vital ministry? One that inspires and helps women and girls to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. As they grow in faith, they will enact the words of Luke 4:18-19 in their lives:

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor," (NRSV).

"God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free,
to announce, 'This is God's year to act!'," (MSG).

Becoming Beloved Community means seeking God's guidance for relevant mission and ministry.
