It is our pleasure to introduce to you next year’s National Leadership Team (NLT). We welcome two new members to the NLT, continuing the historic American Baptist ministry with girls that began in 1915 as World Wide Guild. Please hold each of these team members, and the team as a whole, in your prayers through the following year.
Convenor Driana Arceneaux, from Riverview Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, is in her second year on the NLT, having served as Events Coordinator (youth) for the 2016-2017 term. Driana is president of her local AB GIRLS group, member of the Discipleship and Fellowship Ministry, Teen Choir, serves as Children’s Church Assistant and works with Vacation Bible School. Driana is an 11th grade honor student and was inducted into The National Junior Honor Society in 2015. She also serves as president of the Teen (Keystone) Club at The Boys & Girls Club.
Missions Coordinator Anna Kouadio, from Calvary Baptist Church in Lowell, Massachusetts, continues in her second year on the NLT as Missions Coordinator. Anna is active in her church choir and in TeensAlive, a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. As a junior in high school, Anna is a member of many school clubs: Book, Spanish, French, and Math.
Promotions Coordinator Grady Nun Tha Iang, from the Carson Chin Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is beginning the first year of her 2017-2019 term. Grady is an active member of her church and youth group. Grady is in 10
th grade and is very active in sports, especially volleyball and softball; she also serves as captain in both teams.
Events Coordinator Rachel Price, from the First Baptist Church of Waterloo, Iowa, is beginning the first year of her 2017-2019 term. Rachel is an active member of her church, bell choir, and AB GIRLS group. Rachel has participated in many AB GIRLS region and national events. As a high school junior, Rachel is the staff manager of her high school’s band and active in an anti-bullying organization.
AB GIRLS Coordinator (2016-2019) Deneen Ray, from California, can't remember a time when she wasn't involved in the life of the church: singing in the children's choir, ushering, in Sunday school; and now she serves as a youth pastor. Deneen Ray brings 20 years of experience in youth and young adult ministry. It is her heart's desire for every young person to have a growing relationship with Jesus. She has a B.A. in child development, a Masters of Divinity degree, and is pursuing a M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Trinity College & Theological Seminary.
