In 2015, American Baptist Women's Ministries ran a pilot mentoring program at the request of our young adult women's ministries advisory team. In the process, we learned that mentoring is not what it used to be! For one thing, both members of the pair can receive mentoring from one another--it needn't be all one-way. For that reason, we use the term "companioning" instead.
